My Framework for Innovation
What I love about design is that it's like an endless wall of tools to solve problems. Each problem is different, therefore it's the responsibility of the designer to select the right tools for the job.
My process follows the "double-diamond" model, which has four categories: discover, define, design, deliver. The design process is never linear, but rather a winding path where you iterate your way forward.
Building Cohealo
I've spent the last decade building Cohealo, a healthcare software company helping health systems share underutilized surgical equipment.
I've had the unique experience of scaling our company from 3 co-founders and $500k in angel investment to 30+ employees, many enterprise customers, and $20MM raised in venture capital funding.
My time at Cohealo offered me the opportunity to practice lean UX principles, 0-1 product development, and product management. In turn it's made me a stronger product designer.
To this day it's one of my most cherished experiences. I'll carry with me for the rest of my life a profound respect for healthcare workers, who we worked so closely with.
Personal Life
My latest interests involve 🎸 music, 🍳 cooking, 🥕 gardening, 🌎 traveling, and 🪚 carpentry. On weekends you can find me exploring via 🏍 motorcycle or playing 🏒 hockey (poorly).
I enjoy 🫶 volunteer work and 🏋️ mentoring designers.
